Our most driven students complete both curricular and extracurricular requirements established by the National Academy of Engineering to graduate with honors. The program focuses on undergraduate research, interdisciplinary coursework, entrepreneurship, global experience, and service-learning, with an eye toward solving the world’s most pressing challenges.
Applications for Incoming First-Year Students
If you’re a prospective first-year student, we strongly recommend applying to UT by the early action deadline, November 1. After applying to the university, qualified students will receive an invitation via email to apply to the Cook Grand Challenge Honors Program.
Application for Current UT Engineering Students
Current UT engineering students may apply to join the Cook Grand Challenge Honors Program after completing one semester at UT as an engineering major and receiving credit for at least one Engineering Fundamentals or other engineering course. Please complete this application to be considered for honors. Applications will be reviewed at the end of each term (May, August, and December) and students will be notified soon after. First-semester students should wait until they have registered for their second semester courses before applying.
